Abstract

The importance of Cultural Heritage documentation is well recognizedand there is an increasing pressure to document and preservethem also digitally. The continuous development of new sensors, datacapture methodologies and multi-resolution 3D representations andthe improvement of existing ones can contribute signifi cantly to thedocumentation, conservation and presentation of Cultural Heritagesites and to the growth of research in this fi eld. The article reviewsthe actual surveying and modeling methodologies and presents someexamples of heritage sites 3D documentation.
