Abstract

Nel panorama delle fonti rinnovabili attualmente esistenti hanno avuto notevole impulso, soprattutto nell'ultimo decennio, le tecnologie di produzione dell'energia dal moto ondoso. Tra le principali tecnologie esistenti in merito, quella delle Colonne d'Acque Oscillanti (OWC, Oscillating Water Columns) è ben avanzata e ricerche di vario tipo sono in atto anche nel nostro Paese, tuttavia, le particolari condizioni del Mare Mediterraneo, ed altri fattori, pongono vincoli d'impiego che richiedono ulteriori ricerche e sperimentazioni.

Oscillating Water Columns as coastal energy source.

In the wide range of existing renewable energy sources, the last decade witnessed the great boost given to wave energy production technologies. Among them, the technology of Oscillating Water Columns is well advanced and different types of research are underway also in Italy. The specific conditions of the Mediterranean Sea and other factors, however, impose utilization constraints that require further research and testing.
